Ms MitranoAbout Me: My name is Barbara Mitrano. I am a Gr. 3 teacher at St. Patrick School.  I have been active in the Saint Patrick School community as a teacher and parent for 20 years, and I love coming to school every day.  Each morning I look forward to welcoming my students as they walk through the classroom door with a bright smile and a cheerful “good morning, Mrs. Mitrano”.   I believe it is very important for each student to feel welcomed into my classroom and to know that he/she is an important member of our Gr. 3 team. Learning and working hard, together with helping and being there for each other, are the gifts that each student brings and shares with our class every day.   Each day, together, we strive to live our class motto – “to be the best that we can be!”

During my free time, I enjoy doing anything and everything with my family. I also enjoy baking, cooking, and creating holiday crafts. I enjoy walking on a beautiful day and spending time catching up with friends.

Memorable Moments: My husband and I have two wonderful children who attended St. Patrick School. They look back now with wonderful and fond memories of their years at St. Patrick School where their faith, education, and friends played an important role in shaping them into the fine young adults that they are today.  As a family, we have learned at St. Patrick School that the most important things in life are – faith, family, friends …. and of course fun!

Education: I have a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education (Level PreK -12) from Framingham State University and an Elementary Education Certification (Level 1-6) from Salem State University.

Honors and Awards:

  • Stoneham VFW Elementary Citizenship Education Teacher Award, Elementary School Level    2015-2106
  • Massachusetts VFW National Citizenship Education Teacher Award, Elementary School Level 2015-2106
