About Me: I grew up in Connecticut with my twin brother and moved to the Boston area after graduating college. I attended Catholic schools from kindergarten through high school, and feel honored to come full-circle as a Catholic educator. This is my third year teaching at St Patrick School, and I have truly enjoyed the wonderful community that exists here. Prior to teaching at SPS, I’ve had experiences teaching and learning in a variety of early childhood settings and locations, including CT, MA, and Australia.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling/backpacking, reading, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
Bachelor of Arts: Sociology & Early Childhood Education; Wheaton College (MA)
Master of Science: Care & Education in Early Childhood, concentration in Special Education; Wheelock College
Memorable Teaching Moment: In my first year as a classroom teacher, most of my preschool students spoke English as a second language. Over the course of the year, we had an amazing blend of English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Portuguese flowing through the classroom. The children felt proud of and encouraged to share their native language, while also feeling supported in learning English. It is an incredible feeling when teaching and learning go hand-in-hand!
