Memorable Teaching Moment: A memorable teaching moment was when I taught a music class in the sixth grade. The assignment was to research a specific instrument, uncovering its history and how its existence evolved over time. Students then had to create it using recycled products. The research portion of the project was done during music class using iPads, but the recreation of the instrument was done by each student at home. After completing all requirements, the students had to conduct a presentation to the class. When the due date arrived for the projects, all 27 students brought them in. The students took turns presenting his/her homemade replica of their instrument to the class while explaining its history. Many of the students were pleasantly surprised to find out that while making their instruments they actually made noise!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.
