St. Patrick School Community,
After a little bit of a roller coaster week things look like they are all on the upward swing! Thank you to everyone for the well wishes and prayers for my daughter, Bella who did end up having an appendectomy and after a long weekend of being in the hospital is at home recovering. I am really overcome by the care and support that you have all shown and my family thanks you.
During this last week I have also been able to meet with several families and have time to process what would be in the best interest of the school. We are absolutely moving forward with all the initiatives we have presented and steps are being taken to put those plans into action. What better week than Catholic Schools Week for the teachers to have their first workshop this Friday to enhance their professional learning.
My meetings have also given me the opportunity to meet with some families that have been hit with the biggest tuition increases. We fully understand that families with 3 or more children at St. Patrick School are the ones who are accumulating the biggest increase and we want to be able to do something to help those families. After recent meetings with Father Mario we have approved a $2500 discount for families with 3 or more children in the school. This discount will not take money away from the other financial aid that we have established to help all the families here at the school but is being funded separately by other donors and means. This three or more children discount will remain in place and be a part of the tuition model moving forward. As with all things in life there are no guarantees and this discount may or may not be in place five years from now. We review our budget and tuition yearly to make sure we are doing what is best for the school and the community as a whole. That being said we are looking at many different ways and approaches to be responsive to families and their needs in collaboration with what is best for the school and right now we want to help the families that are seeing the biggest tuition increase. The plan for the future is three fold: 1) minimal raises in tuition, 2) look for outside sources of funding, and 3) increase enrollment.
If you have any questions about the tuition or would like the opportunity to talk about the initiatives and the direction of the school moving forward please reach out and schedule a time to meet with me. There is great positivity towards the vision for the future of St. Patrick School from students, the parents, and the faculty and staff and the support has been resounding. I have been enthralled with your energy and willingness to help in different areas like marketing, development, and helping me network out into the community.
Registrations have been coming in at an excellent pace from both in-house families and new families. The registrations for in-house families are due by Friday, February 17th to guarantee your spot and to avoid a $25 late registration fee. Financial aid applications are due by March 1st. In order to apply for financial aid you have to be registered for next school year.
Thank you and God bless,
