Middle School Mentorship Program
What is mentorship and why is it important?
The mission of St. Patrick School is to teach our students to act justly, love and serve one another, and walk humbly with God. To help students live this mission, we are proud to announce a mentorship program for our middle school students. One-on-one mentoring aims to bring together rigorous academics, service, leadership, and extracurricular activities to assist in forming middle school students intellectually, morally, physically, and spiritually in a way that is personalized and intentional. Mentoring also seeks to assist parents in the formation of their children by connecting habits and virtues learned at school with family life.
How does mentorship work?
Each student in grades 6-8 is paired with a staff mentor, meeting once per month for 30 minutes during free periods in a student’s school schedule. The tone of each conversation is warm, open, positive, respectful, and helpful. Each staff mentor, through the personal counsel given to the students, demonstrates his or her dedication to the St. Patrick’s School community.
