Jackie Petrillo, Parent
I can’t say enough good things about St. Patrick School in Stoneham. As a parent there for the last 3-years, I have seen the faculty and staff handle some difficult situations with professionalism, grace, understanding, and caring. However, their response to our current situation during the COVID-19 pandemic has been remarkable. From calling off school before most local public schools, to multiple emails and video check-ins per day, each educator and staff has been amazing. School has been closed since Friday, March 13. On Saturday, March 14, both 3rd grade teachers hand delivered packets of work to each of their students. Starting on Monday, March 16, all the teachers have sent emails to their classes with daily work. They have videos explaining the work to the students. They have held Zoom meetings individually and with the entire class to make sure the students are engaged and feel supported. They have been keeping in regular contact with the parents to make sure the workload is sufficient without being overwhelming. At St. Patrick’s School we “Rise Up,” and it’s never been more true than now.
